Three days after a brilliant spell of bowling nearly shocked England in Malahide, Tim Murtagh delivered with the bat to serve a big blow to Scotland's chances of qualifying for the 2015 World Cup.

It was an amazing finish to the game. Until Murtagh hit 10 off the last two balls you would have had to say that Scotland were favourites to win that. With Ireland winning todays game it means that Scotland cannot automatically qualify for the CWC15 and will have to go through the qualifying tournament.
On Sunday we will be back here again for the second ODI between these two teams. Hopefully it will be as exciting as todays game has been. So this is Justin Smyth saying goodbye from a very dark Stormont ground. Goodnight.
