Hong Kong 113 for 2 (Lamsam 41*, Irfan 36) beat Namibia 109 (Van Schoor 36, Afzal 5-17) by eight wickets
Scorecard
A five-wicket haul from the right-arm fast bowler Tanwir Afzal helped bowl Namibia out for 109 and set up Hong Kong's eight-wicket win in Windhoek. Namibia, opting to bat, failed to build any momentum in their innings, as regular blows from Afzal (5 for 17) and Haseeb Amjad (2 for 17) kept pegging the team back, and eventually made them fold in 36.1 overs. Raymond van Schoor top-scored for Namibia with 36, but the team's next highest contribution came from the No.11 Bernard Scholtz who made 27.
Hong Kong had little trouble chasing down such a paltry total, as their top three all chipped in with handy knocks to see the team home in 36.2 overs. Their opener Roy Lamsam remained unbeaten on 41, and put up partnerships of 40 and 53 with Irfan Ahmed (36) and Skhawat Ali (23) respectively.
