Here's Sampath: Only once before a team won by 10-wicket margin in a women's T20I knockout game - Greece vs Romania in Women's Balkan Cup final in 2022
4:35pm Time for the presentation
Nigar Sultana, Bangladesh captain: "We couldn't understand what we wanted. Losing too many wickets in the powerplay hurt. When top order is not making runs, it is difficult for teams to come up with runs. It is about mentality. They are capable of playing shots, but against India, they play differently. We need to work on our batting, because of that we are losing games. Before World Cup, we will try and rectify our mistakes. Shorna has job to do in the five-six overs, unlucky today to not get strike. She is showing her capability, she came from the Under-19s and is showing character."
Renuka Singh, Player of the Match: "I am very happy. It was a big match for us and to do well is a good feeling. The idea is to work on the basics. I executed what we prepared yesterday. Got a lot help from the wind blowing across. I like bowling with the new ball, and got to bowl my spell early. I was happy with all my wickets, because you get rewarded for your work."
Harmanpreet Kaur, India captain: "Our bowlers did a great job. Did what we spoke in the team meetings. Proud of our bowling. A lot of pressure on us, because we have been dominating Asian cricket. We want to keep doing what we are doing for a long time. We prepare ourselves very hard in nets, so that when we go out there, we don't feel pressure. Everyday, the bowlers are coming up with positive approach. They are hitting the right lines and lengths, and they give me confidence. Consistency is important for us, we just want to keep doing well. [Pakistan or Sri Lanka?] Any team works, we will watch tonight and whoever is there, we'll prepare well."
4:26pm India storm into yet another Women's Asia Cup final. And it has been a truly dominant show. Renuka set the tone early with her three-wicket burst inside the powerplay. That meant Bangladesh were kept to 80 for 8 with Nigar top-scoring for them. And then Shafali and Mandhana sealed the win, despite it taking a tad longer than what everybody would have expected. A third ten-wicket win at the competition in the last five matches, no such win was achieved in the history of the competition before this edition.
Ar Ramesh Kumar: "in Asia cup , no one is near to India ... in the same way , should be in world cup too .. come on India ... create history in the upcoming world cups too"
