3:19pm Tamil Nadu remain unbeaten this season and have defeated Rajasthan in the semi-final for the second season in a row. The difference was always going to be the batting, and Arun Karthik showed why. Heaps of experience and skill in that TN line-up and even a relatively slow start didn't ring any panic bells in that dugout. Ultimately, they've won with ease and lots of deliveries to spare. It needed a superb comeback with the ball to set themselves up for this, and they did that after Rajasthan threatened to push for a score close to 200. And then, Rajasthan got early wickets with the ball, but Arun and then DK steered them to perfection. It helped that Rajasthan dropped three catches and missed a run-out chance, but the match was already slipping out of their grasp by then.
Arun Karthik is the Player of the Match.
Dinesh Karthik will be the first captain to lead his side into a final in three different decades says stats man Gaurav Sundararaman, who doesn't take any off days. DK was captain in 2007, 2019, and now 2021.
