Quintyne five sets up WI's second win

West Indies Women 140 for 6 (Taylor 40, Hazell 3-19) beat England Women 129 for 8 (Edwards 39, Quintyne 5-16) by 11 runs
Scorecard

Shaquana Quintyne's maiden five-wicket haul derailed England Women in their chase after a good start and helped West Indies Women pull off their second win in the Tri-Nation T20 tournament.

Chasing 141, England were cruising at one stage. Openers Charlotte Edwards and Lauren Winfield had put on 69 within 10 overs, but Quintyne went past the defences of Winfield to struck first blow to the chase. In her next over, the 12th of the innings, she removed Edwards, and induced a panic when she dismissed two more batsmen in her third over.

The other bowlers chipped in with a couple of wickets as well and when Quintyne had Danielle Wyatt bowled in her last over, England had been reduced to 96 for 8. Danielle Hazell and Holly Colvin conjured up a late fight, but ran out of steam towards the end.

West Indies had lost the toss, but their top order made handy contributions to keep the runs flowing. Stafanie Taylor shared a 45-run stand with Kyshona Knight for the second wicket, then added 51 with the hard-hitting Deandra Dottin, who smoked three sixes in her 19-ball 32, to help the team to 140. Hazell was the most successful bowler for England, taking three wickets for 19 runs in her four over spell.
