Raises it near his face as the rest of his team-mates clap from afar. The players all join in now, and the celebrations will continue into the night. Thank you for joining us through the season, and we hope to see you soon for more cricket. From all of us at ESPNcricinfo, it's goodnight and goodbye.

12.07pm Finally, time for the presentation

Sarfaraz Ahmed, the winning captain: "First, I want to thank Allah, my voice is broken because we've been celebrating so much. Credit goes to the team management, and to the crowd. The way they've responded to the support for both teams, was excellent. Then the Rangers, Police, PCB they've all worked hard to make this tournament possible in Pakistan."

Daren Sammy, the losing captain: "We didn't do enough with the bat. They were the team to beat in the tournament, and they proved why today. But we're still proud to make three consecutive PSL finals. We've played a brand of cricket that we should be proud of."

Shane Watson wins the Man of the Series award.

Shane Watson is the Best Batsman of the Tournament

Hasan Ali is the Best Bowler of the Tournament

Umer Khan is the Emerging Player of the Tournament

Islamabad United win the Spirit of Cricket Award, and they dedicate the prize money to their allrounder Asif Ali

Mohammad Hasnain, only 18, is the Man of the Match. He says, "First I want to thank that I am Man of the Match. I want to dedicate this award to my father and mother. I have always been a fast bowler, hope to bowl even faster. I learnt from the big players here, learnt a lot sharing the dressing room with them. I am trying to be more and more aggressive as I grow. There was no pressure for me, the team-mates had given me confidence before the game's start. I prefer getting my wickets via yorkers or bouncers. Want to do well in the ODIs against Australia. Maybe get a spot in the World Cup squad as well. Want to thank the crowd for supporting cricket in Pakistan."

12.02pm DJ Bravo: "This is my 4th title after releasing a song. We won the IPL with CSK, the song for TKR in the CPL, and then this year, I thought this was "our time", which was also the name of the song. And yes, it was "our time". PSL is a big tournament, and we were against a very good side. It was a great, great team effort. Special mention to captain Sarfaraz, his bowling choices were different. In Hasnain, Pakistan have another young talent. PSL is the one title I had never won before, so happy to tick another one off my list."

Noman : "6 6 6 from Pollard against MS"

Zeeshan Nawaz: "You didn't publish my favorite moment, may be it wasn't yours :P, Qalandars chasing 200 against Sultans"

Zubair Islam: "My favorite moment of PSL was Ingram innings"

11.48pm A good sportsmanship from Peshawar. They're also giving the Karachi crowd a lap of honour.

JK: "This must be the most underdog to top story in PSL history. There was no one to buy this franchise then came Nadeem Omar to create a squad which was least expensive yet went to the final. Not playing with full strength in 2017 final and now today they are champions comprehensively."

Asfar Hameed: "Quetta badly missed their key foreign players in past seasons imagine what if they played and this would be the 3rd or 4th title of PSL"

MA Eez: "Sarfraz lead his team in a very professional way. Quetta deserves it from the beginning. Now mr captain people of Pakistan wants the big trophy CW19 in Pakistan Good luck for upcoming Cup from England "

11.42pm Some player reactions now, but before that the players must take selfies!

Sir Viv Richards, the Quetta coach: "This is what we work hard for. Must thank Nadeem Omar, the backroom staff, everyone whose walked on the field. We were a family, and we sustained - that's what it's all about. It's great to come to Pakistan and feel loved. My good friend is now your Prime Minister, and we must thank him and his staff too. I've always said Pakistan have some good fast bowlers, it's given the youngsters to see the talent in their country. My love to Pakistan, I can feel the love. Thank you so much."

Nadeem Omar, the Quetta owner: "I think I am probably the happiest man in the planet right now. Happy for me, my family, and the whole of Balochistan and Quetta. We have been at it for the last 4 years, someone called us chokers earlier, but we never had a full-strength team in Pakistan. This year we did, and credit goes to the team who have worked very hard. Want to thank the Karachi public, for their support. Shane Watson gave us the energy in the dugout, and I want to thank the families of all the foreign players who came to Pakistan for this season. The people in the ground were cheering 'Watson, Watson', so this is great for cricket in Pakistan. Viv Richards is the one and only King. He is the guy who gives us all the energy. Bravo, his songs, they've all kept us pumped. Even I was nervous before the match, but the players said 'Nadeem, just relax. We are going to win."

Javed Afridi, Peshawar's owner: "We've lost, but we are happy that PSL came to Pakistan and gave the people of Karachi joy. Must give credit to my team for the way they've played this season, to reach final. It's been an amazing season. The way PM Imran Khan said that PSL will be completely played in Pakistan next year, then we stakeholders need to work in the offseason to bring PSL matches to cities beyond Karachi and Lahore."

11.40pm DJ Bravo is currently doing the run da world dance with some team-mates. The crowd is still pretty electric. Some beautiful fireworks over the stadium too. The Quetta team owners are congratulating each other now. Must've been quite a ride for the owners too.

Asad: "This win credit goes to the QG bowlers, who did not allow the PZ to play with open arms"

Fraz: "Going to get my team of the tournament in nice and early. Watson, Ronchi (WK), Delport, Ingram, U Akmal, Asif Ali, Faheem, Tanvir, Hasan, Wahab, Umer Khan. Only issue is I don't have a recognized captain in there :/"

Mazahir: "No 1 in T20 internationals, champions trophy winner, under 19 world cup winner. This is captain Sarfraz for you. You beauty, now just one more trophy of WC2019. Best of luck for that as well. "

Zulfi: "So at last Quetta are the champions... lets hope RCB and SAfrica don't disappoint us in IPL and WCup..."

shahzad: "There seems to be some magic in DJ Bravo's songs, He sang it for Westindies and it became the champion of T20 cup and it sang for Quetta Gladiator and here you go the champ"

11.35pm The celebrations continue! Viv Richards is also celebrating. The Quetta players are now taking a lap of honour. Most of the crowd are still at the ground.

Abdul Mannan: "So its now evident that PSL is a tournament in which all teams wait for a year and Fight against each other to play a Final against Quetta"

Shehroz : "In my opinion, the Man of Match should be Husnain for his superb spell. The Man of Series should be Shane Watson for hi highest runs in this season."

imaad: "Everyone is praising the bowling not Sarfaraz's captaincy!! BTW this win will give lots of confidence to Sarfaraz which was needed for the upcoming World cup! "

hadi: "From the ugliness and shambles of Oye Hoye and Tuc 'trophy' to the amazing, prestigious PSL4 trophy. Saf ends up lifting the bigger and better one."

Sana : "I'm here to thank cricinfo only! THANK YOU CRICINFO!!! "

Sameer: "Thinking out loud .... Quetta beat Peshawar in all four encounters while Karachi did defeat Quetta in both their encounters, so it surely means that Karachi is better than the Champions, right???"

Farooq haider: "I m in Quetta and it's fireworks here coupled with aerial firing, never seen Quetta this joyous. Thank you Gladiators "

11.30 pm A comprehensive win for Quetta. they were in control from early on through their bowlers. The batting was steered by Shehzad, who you suspect is at his best in these sort of chases. Watson was run out early, but Quetta hardly broke a sweat in hunting down their target of 139. Mohammad Hasnain, still only 18, took 3 for 30 for Quetta. With Zalmi's pace attack the more vaunted, it was the teenager who made the biggest impact. And his last over went for 13 runs too.
