Scorer: M Venkat Raghav | Commentator: Rvel Zahid

10:45pm: So that was comfortably chased down by Peshawar Zalmi, not many runs on the board from Quetta and Smith towards the end released the pressure that was built up by Naseem and Hasnain. Peshawar Zalmi displace Karachi Kings from the second spot while Quetta Gladiators are languishing at the fifth spot with two points so far in the tournament.

Quetta got off to a sedate start after losing Jason Roy and Martin Guptill early in the piece but then a fantastic rebuilding work from Sarfaraz Ahmed and Iftikhar Ahmed helped them scrap their way to 154/4. Usman Qadir rarely bowled only looseners tonight, picked two vital wickets and bowled with exceptional control - which is something that lacked in his bowling previously. Wahab Riaz was accurate and kept firing it in the channel, beating the bat frequently. In reply Peshawar Zalmi were wobbling at one stage when Saim Ayub and Tom Kohler Cadmore didn't add many runs but Mohammad Haris and Babar Azam provided a stable start up top and set the tone for the lower-order batters.

Rovman Powell and James Neesham made sure they don't squander the advantage and stitched an important partnership, both got into 30s but then got out. Thereon, Dasun Shanaka and Wahab Riaz played sensibly to get their team over the line and didn't press the panic button knowing they will be facing Smith and Nawaz in the final overs - and they didn't pose as much of a threat as Naseem and Hasnain. Till the next time, this is Rvel Zahid signing off. Goodnight!

Mohammad Nawaz to Wahab Riaz, FOUR, Tossed up, a tad shorter again and he rocks back, makes room and chips it through covers for another boundary to seal the game.

Yasser saleem: "At last we saw a team winning the toss fielding first and won the match after a while in PSL 8"

OYDEEP GILL: "Ali Raza my grandfather too was from Sialkot Punjab after partition he came to India Punjab for living "

Syed Rahman: "So Hafeez bowls one over for 4 runs and he doesnt get another over - yet 2 bowlers conceding over 13 an over continue to bowl"

Hk: "QG should drop Nawaz for a few games use Hafeez as the fifth bowler add in another batter and Thasura for Smith 170 with this bowling attack won't be easy "

Sarat: "This batting approach is complete opposite to how QG started with their's. QG started so very slowly, eventhough they went on 4th,5th,6th gear at the end, it wasnt enough. In modern era, 140-150's are not going to win you games, unless the pitches are sluggish, which is a rareity in T20 cricket now-a-days"

Jibran T. Siddi: "DanielAlaxender: No no, say what we're waiting for..."

ALI RAZA: "@Gill Sikander Raza is also Punjabi, Sialkot born"

Kashif: "Saifi what you didProfessor was available to bowl why you prefferd odean smith"

AbdullahCheema : "If Quetta want to compete with the top teams they need to play a third genuine fast bowler."

Aazir: "@espncricinfo I'm loving the DRS feature in your website. It's absolutely useful for test matches. Thanks espn" Your'e welcome!

Mohammad Nawaz to Wahab Riaz, FOUR, Drags it a bit shorter and offers width, Wahab gives himself room and crunches it past cover for a delicious boundary, just two away from a convincing win

Wahab is swapping the bat.

Mohammad Nawaz to Shanaka, 1 run, Floats it up from round the wicket on a shorter length, turns in a bit from outside off, he makes room and cuts it away to extra cover, easy-peasy

JOYDEEP GILL: "Fun fact sikandar Raza has been playing in psl for Lahore Punjab after that he's gonna play in ipl for India Punjab

Shahid: "Oh Safi no. should have gone with Hafiz or Nawaz instead of Odean here."

MSRK: "Typical West Indies bowler O.Smith, so very inconsistent in bowling line and length. He is got the raw material in the mix of Pace and Bounce, but lacks control"

Malik: "All pressure created by Hasnain and Naseem released in one ball of Smith"

DanielAlexander: "Pakistan's incredible fast bowling talent in full flow in Pakistan Super League, again. Impressive indeed!

Smith to Shanaka, 1 run, Manages to shank it in the opens spaces at cover region and he will keep the strike

2
Smith to Shanaka, 2 runs, A touch short again on middle and off, he works it across the line to square leg and Sarfaraz looks completely deflated, the body language is down whereas contrasting scenes in Peshawar Zalmi's dug-out, Babar looks pretty calm

1
Smith to Wahab Riaz, 1 run, He is not learning and pitched it on a fraction shorter length, again on his pads and he whips it away with ease off the backfoot, plashing platter of singles
