5.3 bowled 'im! Front-foot defensive from Wells, but he's left a gap and Miles sneaks the ball through to clatter middle and off stumps. Just came back enough down the slope. Lancashire having a real wobble under clear blue skies at HQ 9/3

16.5 short, and slammed to midwicket! Johal has his first first-class wicket, and the rot has set back in! After a diet of full-length seamers, that one was a gift, and Bohannon looked it straight in the mouth! A genuine long-hop, could have been dispatched anywhere, but Sibley tumbled well to gather 47/7

5.6 slips in the yorker and Vilas is plumb! Looking to get forward, but Vilas has blocked himself off, hit on the front foot as he attempts to get the bat down. Not much thinking time required by Michael Burns and Lancashire are 9 for 4 after six overs! 9/4

7.5 vicious nip-backer and Croft is pinned! Was it high? Not as far as umpire Burns is concerned! That was near unplayable, I reckon, jagging in from an awkward length, Croft had just shuffled across and got completely done on the inside as the ball went up the slope and torpedoed him on the knee roll. Tight on the top of leg stump, but probably a fair decision 11/5

Norwell returns to line and length after pinning Jones back with a couple of short ones, and sure enough the footwork isn't quite there, the bat drifts away from the body as he feels for it, and Burgess snaffles the feather behind the stumps. 20.5 another superb nipbacker, another one gone! Bailey falls forward to defend on off stump, Johal runs it back down the slope to slap the knee-roll. Might it have been missing leg? Potentially. But this one's nearly done then... 57/8

22.6 simple pickings at second slip! Back of a length, a loose prod, almost an open-faced steer, half-committed, half-leaving. A chest-high deflection to Hain and it's 57 for 9 57/9

71.3 a gallop, a snick, a superb take, wide outside the off stump! Parkinson saw him coming, fizzed it through towards first slip, and the ball actually appeared to flick off the keeper's gloves before Wells stooped to gather. That's the end of a tremendous innings 243/2

38.2 nip-backer which pins Sibley on the pad, and he's stone dead! Finally Lancashire have their man and Sibley is dismissed for yet another middling score. 138.1 outstanding ball to end an outstanding innings! Angling in from round the wicket, hitting a good length on off stump, jagging back down the slope to beat the edge and flick the bails! Rhodes departs, no doubt with the consolation that there are still a few jaffas left in this deck 469/8

98.5 bowled by a beauty! Wicket to wicket, skidding through on the full length, holding its line to beat the edge and clip the outside of the off stump. A change of ends, a change of fortune! Now the fightback's on! 340/3

Flat legbreak, just a mere hint of turn, and Briggs is cramped a little on the back-foot punch, possibly expecting more turn or less bounce. He gets a thin edge through to Davies, who takes a smart catch behind the stumps 442/7

140.6 bowled him! Blatherwick finds his way through a flat-footed mow, right up to the blockhole, Norwell hoicks across the line and departs for 2 487/9

147.3 a scamper to the pitch, a swing through the line, back goes the leg stump. Johal's sparky debut is done, and so too is Lancashire's hard yakka in the field. 518/9

40.6 beauty! Full length again, attacking the stumps, and earning his reward for persistence. Balderson presses forward, but that's zinged off the deck, into the top of off, and that's the end of a battling, but increasingly futile, half-century 143/4

6.6 tip-and-run into the leg side and Davies has skewered himself! This will go upstairs but looked miles short (if you'll pardon the pun...) in real time. On the back foot, clipped straight to short midwicket where Miles dives and throws underarm to the bowler's end. Direct hit, brilliant work. Davies was diving at full stretch but was way short of his ground. Davies' final innings as a Lancs player ends with a run-out... well, they did need quick runs at 417 behind with eight sessions left in the game... 23/1

50.3 attempted leave, steered to second slip! Miles finds some lift outside off, Vilas thinks of playing, thinks of leaving, guides it off the face of the bat. Lancashire sinking fast now 158/6

49.5 tossed up, lures the drive, Bresnan at slip scoops up low between his legs. Easy peasy. A tighter line to the right-hander from Briggs, who gets an early breakthrough after the interval. Can Warwickshire wrap this up before dusk? EDIT Croft never touched it! Scuffed the deck, and the ball ripped out of the foothole! 158/5

63.6 that's a beauty to pin Jones! Plenty of air, pitching on leg stump and turning past the defensive prod... David Millns has a think and then raises his finger. Jones looks a little peeved, from the replays it may have even landed outside leg. But it was definitely hitting the stumps, rapping him low on the back leg. Briggs spins the wheel ever closer for Warks 212/8

59.5 timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrr! Bowled leg stump! Attacks the poles, Wood was shuffling across and looked to whip off his pads. The ball ended up crashing into his back boot and then skidding through to rattle the woodwork. Reward for a sharp spell from Johal 195/7

68.2 swipes at a pull, the top edge goes high... superbly taken by Burgess running towards fine leg! A run and a leap to take it in both hands, and that is that for the English summer! Warwickshire win by an innings and 199 runs to become the second holders of the Bob Willis Trophy 241/9

65.6 beats the charge and it's an easy stumping! Went slower and wider as the No.10 again jumped out, couldn't get his bat near this one and Burgess does the rest to put Warks on the brink 233/9
