Tuskers defend 96 by 15 runs

Matabeleland Tuskers made only 96 for 9 in 20 overs but their bowlers were good enough to dismiss Mid West Rhinos for 83 and secure a 15-run victory in Bulawayo. After getting sent in to bat, Tuskers reached 61 for 2 and then lost five wickets for seven runs. Sean Ervine was the top-scorer with 30 off 27 balls, while Richard Muzhange took 3 for 13 for Rhinos. Vusi Sibanda was dismissed off the first ball of Rhinos' chase and they did not have a partnership of more than 16 for the rest of the innings. Glen Queri took 3 for 15 and Njabulo Ncube claimed 2 for 11 for Tuskers, as the Rhinos were dismissed in 18.2 overs.

Tino Mawoyo and Greg Lamb scored quick half-centuries to lead Mountaineers to 176 for 5 in Mutare, after which their bowlers restricted Southern Rocks to 152 for 8, securing a 24-run victory. Mawoyo scored 74 off 51 balls and Lamb made 54 off 31 deliveries and they shared a 96-run stand for the fourth wicket. Tineshe Panyangara took 3 for 35 for Rocks. The Rocks chase had a steady start, with the openers adding 47, before they slid to 86 for 4. Shingi Masakadza, Prosper Utseya and Natsai Mushangwe took two wickets each for Mountaineers.
