There has been plenty of criticism of the rank turner in Nagpur, where 20 wickets have fallen in the first four sessions
This wicket is diabolical!! 9 legitimate wicket chances in the first hour with 3 plays and misses every over! #day2 #minefield #INDvSA

How disappointing it is to see the quality of Test Cricket reduced to what we are witnessing #INDvsSA @StarSportsIndia #justnotcricket

Wasim Akram in his Times of India column: "I think the ICC should ... get into preparing Test pitches all over the world, or start deducting points that will affect a team's ranking. Till then we will keep getting these akharas (wrestling pits) like the one in Jamtha, where the ball hardly comes on to the bat."
Jacques Kallis in his Hindu column: "Ask a spinner whether he would prefer to bowl on a decent pitch with 400+ runs on the board, or on a dry turner with just 200 on the board where he has to worry about every run, and I think most will take the first option."
This pitch in Nagpur is nothing short of diabolical for Test Cricket ... Telling me that was prepared to last 5 days..!!!!!!!!!!

It's called Test Cricket because it tests the skills of the various disciplines. Not seeing much of this at the moment #heavilyfavouringspin

I think if countries are to prepare pitches as the one we have at Nagpur, we can play 3 day test cricket! Its a disgrace to watch.

South Africa can't play spin but this is a pretty disgraceful wicket. More like Juhu beach than a test wicket. Agree?

In the long run, creating specific kinds of pitches to win, will harm Indian cricket. True, visitors have to overcome but this is beyond that.

Not everyone was complaining though.
People can complain about pitches all they want but this is a hell of a lot more entertaining to watch than the Perth Test.
