What's the best place to sign your franchise contract? A conference room table? Nah. Do it like Sanju Samson, on the green grass on which you'll score all your runs.

BNE traffic update: A large crowd for the first test so plan your Cummins and goings. We'd be Lyon if we said there'll be nothing but Green lights near the Gabba. Don't say we didn't Warner #Ashes

Fan retrieves Joe Root's gloves from a tree
Sometimes you need to aim high to get those precious souvenirs from your favourite cricketers.
Talk of bizarre ends to a nets session. ⦠â¦@root66â© spots an English fan, tries chucking a pair of his gloves to her, they get caught in a tree. He walks away shaking his head. But following some ingenious attempts, the gloves are finally & deservedly retrieved #Ashes pic.twitter.com/Rgjv8EQYjD

Meet DJ Sue
Canberra's DJ Sue Freeman is a 63-year-old granny who knows how to party and she's the one bringing banging tunes to the BBL. Sue became a DJ 11 years ago, after she went to a wedding and the DJ there turned down her requests for songs. She says, "I reckoned I could do that job", so she took a DJing course in Sydney, bought some equipment and set up her own business. Legend!

Despite the result, it will be a Test New Zealand left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel will never forget, after becoming only the third bowler to take all ten wickets in an innings.
Incredible achievement as Ajaz Patel picks up all 10 wickets in the 1st innings of the 2nd Test.
