1 - Glenn Maxwell became the first player to breach the 150-run mark in a BBL innings, with his unbeaten 154 against Hobart Hurricanes. The previous highest individual score of the competition was 147* by Marcus Stoinis, against Sydney Sixers in 2020, also at the MCG. Stoinis was at the non-striker's end when Maxwell broke his record.
273 for 2 - Stars' total against Hurricanes is now the highest in the history of the BBL. They comfortably broke the record of Sydney Thunder, who had scored 232 for 5 against Sydney Sixers last year in Adelaide.
2 - Number of team totals in Twenty20 cricket higher than the 273 by Stars. Afghanistan's 278 for 3 against Ireland in 2019 remains the highest T20 total, which Czech Republic equalled, with 278 for 4 against Turkey in the same year.
2 - Maxwell's 154* is also the second-highest individual score by a captain in T20 cricket. Aaron Finch's 172 for Australia against Zimbabwe in 2018 also came while leading the team.
22 - Fours hit by Maxwell in his unbeaten knock, the most by any player in a T20 innings. The previous highest was 20 fours by Ahmed Shehzad against Bahawalpur Stags in 2012 and Adam Lyth against Northamptonshire in 2017.
41 - Balls Maxwell took for his century, the second-fastest hundred in the BBL. Craig Simmons' 39-ball century for Perth Scorchers against Adelaide Strikers in 2014 remains the fastest BBL century.
10.4 - Overs Maxwell took to complete his century, in Stars' innings, the earliest point of an individual hundred in the BBL. The previous earliest was when Simmons' century in 2014 came at 11.2 overs of the Scorchers innings.
49 - Runs scored by Maxwell off Sandeep Lamichhane on Wednesday. Only two batters scored more runs off a bowler in a BBL innings - 51 runs by Travis Head off Sean Abbott during his 101* in 2015 and Stoinis off Ben Dwarshuis during his 147* in 2020.
6 - Dot balls played by Maxwell during his 154* off 64. Only one batter - to have faced 60-plus balls in a T20 innings - had fewer dots than Maxwell (where ball-by-ball data is available): five dot balls by Matthew Wade during his 130* off 61 against Strikers in 2020.
8 - Bowlers used by Hurricanes, and each of them conceded at an economy rate of over ten an over. It was the first instance of eight or more bowlers going at ten an over in a T20 innings.
