Just so you know, Kevin Pietersen is staying out of the IPL player pool for purely altruistic reasons - he wants to make sure he gives the youngins a chance to shine without stealing the thunder. Besides, the IPL couldn't afford him anyway.
I'd be too expensive and would probably end up being the top scorer in the league. It would embarrass all the modern day players!

KP's cheeky response came after he smashed a 38-ball 86 in the Legends League in Oman two days ago.

Dan Christian could do with a few new team-mates
Dan Christian's put a call out for a few amateur players who could hit a few balls around in front of, oh, just a few thousand people at the Marvel Stadium in this small backyard cricket game called the Big Bash final, the only condition being they be Covid-free. Christian took a cheeky dig at the plight of his injury-and-Covid-hit Sydney Sixes squad who go into the final with the services of Daniel Hughes, captain Moises Henriques, Jordan Silk, Steve O'Keefe, Josh Philippe, Mickey and Jack Edwards in doubt. Anyone willing to give it a go? There's the incentive of a beer for the brave.
Shout out to anyone* in Melbourne that wants a game of cricket tomorrow night. My team is struggling to get 11 covid free, fit players on the park. Warm up starts at 6.30pm at Marvel Stadium.

Free beer afterwards, potentially out of a large cup.

Tennis star Ash Barty shows off batting skills
How does a top tennis champion unwind between games. If you're Ash Barty, it's with a spot of corridor cricket, of course. She wouldn't look out of place in the Ashes Test in Canberra, would she?
Our top seed @ashbarty isn't too bad with the bat, either! #AusOpen · #AO2022 · #AOActive pic.twitter.com/waloT7yT8E
