After more than a decade of first-class cricket, Tamil Nadu batting allrounder B Aparajith is set to move to Kerala. Aparajith's move had been on the cards since June, when he was approached informally by the Kerala association, which had been on the lookout for a professional.
The vacancy came up because Shreyas Gopal, the legspinning allrounder, decided to move back to Karnataka after one season with Kerala.
Aparajith wasn't picked in the Ranji Trophy squad last year during Tamil Nadu's run to the Ranji semi-final. At Kerala, he hopes to be able to play across formats. He is also seen as a potential leadership option if Sanju Samson isn't available.
Fast bowler Kuldeep Sen has also exited Tamil Nadu after a season-long stint to rejoin Madhya Pradesh, his former team. Sen got just three first-class games for Tamil Nadu that yielded three wickets. The 27-year-old's career hasn't exactly taken off after his ODI debut in Bangladesh in 2022.
