    Preliminary Matches

    Points system as follows is in conjunction with the Super Bonus Points and the Super Penalty Points System as outlined in 21.9.3 below:

    Match Points + Bonus Points - Penalty Points = Total Points

    Win 4
    Tie or No Result 2
    Loss 0

    In the event of teams finishing on equal points, the right to progress to the semi finals will be determined as follows:

    • The team with the highest net run rate
    • If still equal the team with the most wins
    • If still equal, the team with the highest number of bonus points

    In a match declared as no result, run rate is not applicable.

    Bonus and Penalty Points System

    Bonus

    Any team which when batting scores from its allotted overs at a rate equal to or above six runs per over in a match and wins that match will receive 2 Super Bonus Points. If a team achieves from its allotted overs a rate equal to or above six runs per over but loses their match that team will collect 1 Bonus Point or if a team batting second wins the game at a rate equal to or above six runs per over shall be awarded 2 Super Bonus Points.

    A team which dismisses the opposition for less than 150 runs and wins the match will be awarded 2 Super Bonus Points.

    Super Bonus and Bonus Points will be added to the teams' points table as the tournament progresses.

    Penalty Points System

    Any team which bats in a game and is bowled out in less than four fifths (4/5) of its total allocated overs will be penalized 2 Super Penalty Points. If a side when batting is bowled out in more than four fifths of its overs but less than its total allocated overs that team will attract 1 Penalty Point which will be deducted from their overall points count.

    Super Penalty Points will be deducted from the teams' points table as the tournament progresses.

    In a match declared as no result, Super Bonus, Bonus Points, Super Penalty and Penalty Points are not applicable
