I vividly recall watching Thaddeus Young in his first season with the Philadelphia 76ers, when he was but a raw teenager and me a wee lad myself, and wondering why this talented forward rarely passed the basketball. Young, a deserved lottery pick in 2007, had a decent run with my favorite NBA team but let us just say that even as he developed, he failed to pile on the assists. In fact, Young, now in his 14th NBA season, averages a sad 1.7 assists over his career, aiding fantasy managers in other ways, but certainly not that one.
