Carles Alena looks like he could be the next Barcelona super-starlet to roll off the assembly line.
Indeed, Alena has forced himself well and truly in the reckoning for a few more senior call-ups by virtue of scoring a spectacular solo goal in a UEFA Youth League game against Roma.
With shades of Lionel Messi's Copa Del Rey wonder goal against Athletic Bilbao at the tail end of last season, the 17-year-old La Masia graduate picked up the ball and duly set out from close to the halfway line.
GOLAZO! Echoes of Maradona & Messi in Carles Aleñá's @UEFAYouthLeague goal. Is he @FCBarcelona's next great No10? https://t.co/0qFLCQHh81

He then sprinted in on goal, jinked his way around four defenders before sending a cool, calm finish past the bamboozled goalkeeper.
Cracking stuff. Definitely one to keep an eye on.
