Spurs, Liverpool tracking Lucas Alario; Radja Nainggolan says no to Chelsea

The transfer window may be shut, but don't think that the wheeling and dealing won't continue!

Free transfers can still be submitted to the FAs, plus there's always January to start thinking about! As always, you can see all the latest deals here.

Tottenham, Liverpool fight for Argentina star

Tottenham now face competition from Liverpool in the race for River Plate's attacking sensation Lucas Alario and the Argentinian is keen to move to Europe.

The Sun reports that Los Millonarios want £15 million for the 23-year-old with Inter Milan and Torino also ready to make offers.

The former Colon hit man has struck 20 goals in just 42 appearances, with five more assists since joining La Banda in the summer of 2015.

Nainggolan ready to end Chelsea rumours

In the summer, Radja Nainggolan was seen as a cornerstone to the formative years of Antonio Conte's revolution at Chelsea.

The Italian had earmarked the Belgian to provide bite and grit in the midfield -- alongside N'Golo Kante, who arrived from Leicester.

Nainggolan, however, appears to have put any talk of him leaving Roma to bed, telling talkSPORT that he'd be signing a new deal with Luciano Spalletti's side shortly.

"A renewal? I had already decided to stay," confirmed the Giallorossi star. "I'm happy here and this thing will work itself out.

"I think we're both on the same page, we'll find an agreement soon."

As one of the most complete midfielders in the world, Spalletti will be delighted to maintain the former Cagliari general for the long-term, while the Blues will be forced to move on.

Danny Rose set to pen new deal

Tottenham continue their fine work of securing the futures of some of their finest talent with Danny Rose set to pen a bumper new contract and commit his long-term future to the club.

Recent deals for Christian Eriksen and Eric Dier have boosted Mauricio Pochettino and Rose could be the next one in the Argentine's exciting project, according the Mail.

Spurs reportedly want Kyle Walker, Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli to follow in suit -- reflecting an alternative strategy to the two Manchester clubs' lavish spending in the market.

Burnley plot Sessegnon move

Fresh from the bitter disappointment of conceding a last-minute equaliser against fellow strugglers Hull, Burnley are eyeing reinforcements in the free agent market.

The Mail says that former West Brom and Sunderland attacking midfielder Stephane Sessegnon could soon be snapped up on a free transfer.

While not the most glamorous signing, the Benin international has scored 25 Premier League goals and could offer more production to support strikers Andre Gray and Sam Vokes.

Tap-ins

- Since Jurgen Klopp arrived at Anfield, Adam Lallana has turned from being a mild flop to proving value at £25 million from Southampton.

The Express reports the Reds are prepared to extend the 28-year-old's stay on Merseyside with his sensational goal against Leicester proving he is one of the most in-form English players this season.

- The notorious Sergi Guardiola, who was sacked by Barcelona hours after signing for the 'B' team when tweets insulting the club and Catalonia surfaced, has found a new club.

Granada have shifted the striker, who is no relation to the Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, to A-League side Adelaide United on a season-long loan until next summer.
