Real Betis defender Félix Martí Garreta is receiving treatment in hospital after suffering a head injury following a fall in his home.
Garreta, 20, is on a season-long loan at Spanish second division club SD Amorebieta from Betis.
"The Amorebieta Sports Club reports that the footballer Félix Martí Garreta recently suffered a craniocerebral traumatism as a result of a fall in the domestic environment," the Basque club said in a statement.
"The player on loan from Real Betis Balompié was admitted to a hospital, with a reserved prognosis and pending progress.
"The SDA remains in permanent contact with the footballer's family and his club of origin."
Betis also released a statement wishing the 20-year-old a speedy recovery.
"All the encouragement, strength and affection of Real Betis and the Betis fans for Félix and his family," the LaLiga club wrote on X . "We are all with you."
Garreta has scored four goals in 31 league appearances for Amorebieta and has played seven times for Spain's under-19 side.
