Inter Milan's Davide Santon rubbishes talk of transfer to Watford

Davide Santon has dismissed reports that he could join Premier League newcomers Watford and confirmed his commitment to Inter Milan.

Reports in Italy suggested both Santon and Zdravko Kuzmanovic could be heading to the Hornets in a combined €10 million deal.

But defender Santon, who returned to the Nerazzurri on loan from Newcastle in January, posted on Facebook that he had no intention of leaving.

"Hi guys, I've read all of your comments and on this subject I wanted to inform you that I am unaware of all this and it is my desire to stay with Inter," the 24-year-old wrote.

"I was really delighted with all your comments and extend you a warm hug. Forza Inter!"

Santon made his return to Milan permanent soon after arriving but made only two appearances in the last eight games of the season.

Following the arrival of Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco, Inter want to sell players -- and Santon is one of several to have been linked with a move away.

He was part of their 2010 treble-winning side before moving to Newcastle a year later.
