Genoa 3-3 Sassuolo
A last-gasp penalty from Ioannis Fetfatzidis denied Sassuolo victory as Genoa came from behind three times to earn a precious point at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.Domenico Berardi struck his second of the day in the 69th minute to put Sassuolo 3-2 up but the visitors shot themselves on the foot when Francesco Magnanelli brought down Genoa's Juraj Kucka in the penalty box seconds from the end.Fetfatzidis scored the resulting spot-kick for a 3-3 draw.Genoa, looking for their first win since December 7, were without four key players, including top scorer Alessandro Matri, who was out injured.Sassuolo went into the game looking to bounce back from Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at AC Milan that saw the Serie A minnows bow out of the Coppa Italia. The hosts conceded an early penalty after Maxime Lestienne fouled Berardi in the box. Berardi converted the resulting penalty with a left-footed shot past Genoa goalkeeper Matteo Perin to put the visitors ahead.Genoa equalised six minutes later when Lestienne set up Iago Falque in the area and his left-footed shot sailed past Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli. The away side wasted a good chance to go back in front before half-time when Emanuele Terranova headed Nicola Sansone's perfect cross wide. The visitors picked up where they left off after the restart and were rewarded five minutes into the second half. Genoa failed to clear a dangerous corner and an unmarked Simone MIssiroli was left with an easy tap-in.Sassuolo's joy was shortlived though as Genoa pulled level two minutes later through Fetfatzidis.Lestienne spotted Fetfatzidis in the area and he struck a close-range shot past a helpless Consigli. The visitors went back in front with 21 minutes remaining as Zaza set up Berardi in the box and his perfect finish beat Perin.Genoa threw bodies forward in the dying stages in a bid to nick an equaliser. Their prayers were answered when the referee pointed to the spot after Kucka went down in the box.Fetfatzidis struck the spot-kick towards the top-left corner of goal and out of Consigli's reach to claim a point.ends
