Torino 2-2 Palermo

Struggling Torino twice fought back to force a 2-2 draw at home to Palermo but the Stadio Olimpico club remain without a victory in their last seven Serie A games.Josef Martinez's first goal in Granata colours cancelled out Luca Rigoni's opener before Kamil Glik responded to a clever finish from Paulo Dybala, who has now scored for Palermo in each of his last five appearances. The point does little to soothe the pain still felt by Torino in the wake of their cruel derby defeat to Juventus, but it does mean they have a three-point cushion above the bottom three. Palermo, meanwhile, climb to 11th in the table. If Torino are to distance themselves from a relegation battle they need to start scoring goals at home, something they had only managed to do three times this season heading into Saturday night. The pressure to notch at the Olimpico grew stronger from the 18th minute of play against Palermo, then, as Rigoni fired the visitors ahead.Dybala took a break from his finishing duties to feed Andrea Belotti, whose ball to Rigoni cut goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet out of the picture before Palermo's midfielder tucked home.Torino wasted a double chance to equalise before the half hour as Belotti saved Fabio Quagliarella's close-range header only to wince as the former Juventus striker volleyed the rebound just wide of the mark. The hosts would level in the 35th minute, though, Emiliano Moretti picking out Martinez, who swivelled his body before picking out Stefano Sorrentino's bottom corner.Dybala found time to restore Palermo's lead before the break. He somehow managed to control a terse cross from Achraf Lazaar with his heel and that clever first touch was enough to send the ball bouncing underneath Gillet and rising again to ripple the netting inside the far post.Buoyed by opening his account for Torino, Martinez went close to grabbing a second equaliser when play resumed, but his powerful drive was punched clear by the alert Sorrentino. The Granata went closer on the hour mark as Quagliarella seized on a pass from Matteo Darmian before driving a fearsome left-footed effort down Sorrentino's throat. With the ball rarely leaving Palermo's half, it was inevitable it would end up in their goal once again and, in the 63rd minute, Glik made it happen with a firm headed connection on Omar El Kaddouri's centre. As Torino turned the screw, Palermo retreated, and the hosts' best chance before the final exchanges saw Ruben Perez try his luck from outside the box. They did get the ball over the line for the third time in the 85th minute, Ezequiel Munoz heading into his own net under pressure from Darmian, but the Torino man was ruled to be offside. The Italy full-back was at the heart of the match's last exciting moment, too.Nifty footwork saw him cut inside from the left to sear the ball inches wide of a post, confirming the points would be shared in Turin.ends
