Lazio 2-1 Torino
Miroslav Klose came off the bench to score the winner as Lazio edged Torino 2-1 on Sunday in Rome to make it four league wins in a row.Lucas Biglia put the Roman team ahead when he struck a free-kick past Torino goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet in the 15th minute.Lazio were unlucky not to double their advantage three minutes later when Antonio Candreva hit the post.Alex Farnerud pulled Torino level eight minutes into the second half but Klose had the last say.The veteran German striker, who had entered the pitch after half-time, tapped home on the hour mark after Gillet could not hold onto Candreva's powerful free-kick.The victory lifted Stefano Pioli's Lazio to fifth place.The loss, Torino's fourth of the campaign, dropped the Turin outfit to 13th position.Toro went into the encounter at the Stadio Olimpico in buoyant mood after Thursday's 2-0 triumph over Helsinki in the Europa League.The hosts had the better start and went ahead when Biglia's free-kick went into the far post with Gillet rooted to the spot.Candreva almost made it 2-0 when his angled shot from inside the area beat Gillet but rebounded off the post.The visitors could have equalised in the 25th minute but Emiliano Moretti's header from Juan Sanchez Mino's cross went wide.Toro continued to press forward and almost scored before the interval.Marco Benassi fed Fabio Quagliarella in the box and his goal-bound attempt was kept out by Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti.The Granata picked up where they left off after the re-start and were rewarded shortly after.Lazio failed to clear a dangerous ball in their area and Farnerug struck a left-footed shot from 14 yards past Marchetti.Toro's joy was shortlived as the home side went back in front seven minutes later.Gillet denied Candreva but Klose was first to the rebound and he drove the ball into the back of the net.The closest Torino came to an equaliser was five minutes from time.Matteo Darmian got past his marker and struck a right-footed effort towards the far post that was kept out by Marchetti.ends
