Hellas Verona claim long-awaited first Serie A win of the season

Hellas Verona earned their first Serie A win of the season after coming from a goal behind to claim a 2-1 victory over 10-man Atalanta.Andrea Conti put the visitors ahead but Luca Siligardi equalised just before the break. Boukary Drame was sent off for a second bookable offence before Giampaolo Pazzini popped up to score the winner in 83rd minute to give Verona a morale-boosting win at the Stadio Bentegodi.Verona began brightly and had a goal disallowed early after referee Marco Di Bello ruled that Luca Toni shoved his marker inside the box.But it was Edy Reja's side who went in front in the 30th minute as Verona failed to clear their lines from a Alessandro Diamanti cross and Conti pounced on a loose ball to score his first Serie A goal. The hosts levelled matters just before the interval as Pawel Wszolek played through Siligardi who dribbled past two Atalanta defenders before smashing home.Atalanta were down to 10 men in the 54th minute as Drame was shown his second yellow of the game for a poor-timed challenge on Pazzini on the edge of the box.A double save from Pierluigi Gollini prevented the visitors from regaining the lead before Luigi Delneri's team completed the comeback seven minutes from time.Wszolek played provider again as he teed up Pazzini before the former AC Milan forward's shot gave Marco Sportiello no chance in the Atalanta goal.
