Jozabed makes up for own goal as Rayo Vallecano and Getafe draw

Rayo Vallecano defender Jozabed scored at both ends as the Primera Division clash with city rivals Getafe ended 1-1.Jozabed enlightened a drab Madrid affair when he stretched on the edge of the six-yard box to poke Victor Rodriguez's 58th-minute cross into his own net.Getafe should have doubled their lead after 70 minutes when Pablo Sarabia's shimmy split open the Rayo defence, but Rodriguez's tame effort was easily gathered by goalkeeper Juan Carlos. It was a costly miss as home defender Carlos Vigaray inexplicably handled a cross three minutes later under minimal pressure from substitute Patrick Ebert.Skipper Roberto Trashorras stepped up on his 150th Rayo appearance to take the penalty but his shot was too close to Getafe goalkeeper Vicente Guaita. However, Jozabed was first on the scene to meet the rebound and atone for his earlier error.Getafe knew defeat would send them into the relegation zone but they had the better chances and came close to a late winner when Juan Carlos fumbled Vigaray's header onto the crossbar.Rayo had won on their last four visits to Getafe but they created little with Trashorras' sixth-minute volley the only opportunity fashioned in the first half.Getafe had been the better side in the opening period. Alvaro Vasquez's free-kick was diverted around the post by Juan Carlos and Victor Rodriguez's spectacular 20-yard volley flew inches wide of the far post.
