Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams continued to impress by scoring a superb goal to help beat Espanyol 2-1 in La Liga on Sunday.

The 21-year-old Williams has scored four goals in the league this season and netted a double in Thursday's 5-1 rout of Partizan in the Europa League.

His eighth-minute opener against Espanyol combined creativity, speed and a fine finishing touch.

Marked by two defenders, Williams lifted the ball over the head of Enzo Roco, quickly turned and fired in a powerful strike before the ball hit the ground.

Hernan Perez levelled for the visitors in the 51st minute, but Raul Garcia produced a clever header to put Athletic back in front in the 64th minute.

Athletic extended their unbeaten run to six rounds and reclaimed eighth place, while Espanyol fell to 12th.
