Real Betis 1-3 Athletic Bilbao

Real Betis' miserable home form continued as two goals from Inaki Williams helped Athletic Bilbao to a 3-1 victory at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.Betis have only won once at home so far this season and they were behind inside eight minutes.Williams back-heeled in a second just before half-time and Athletic had a host of other chances before Betis pulled one back through Ruben Castro's penalty. The hosts were extremely fortunate to be in the game, but Athletic secured a deserved win in the 87th minute through the impressive Raul Garcia.Athletic were on the attack immediately and Mikel San Jose should have scored with a free header before Williams smashed in the opener. He might have added a second 24 minutes in but for a superb last-ditch tackle by Alfred N'Diaye, while Aritz Aduriz sent a flick beyond the post but too far in front of the lurking Williams four minutes later.Betis managed a rare attempt at goal as Ricky van Wolfswinkel saw a header saved, but, with the 45 minutes just about up, Garcia set up Williams' impudent second goal. The chances continued to come for Athletic after half-time, with Betis keeper Antonio Adan denying Sabin and Garcia before the latter hit the bar with an audacious attempt. And the visitors were made to pay for their missed chances when Williams was harshly deemed to have handled a cross. Castro's penalty looked eminently savable, but Gorka Iraizoz was unable to keep it out.Betis had a lifeline and they were close to an equaliser when Van Wolfswinkel shot just past a post. But that was as good as it got, and the points were wrapped up with three minutes to go thanks to a terrific volley by Garcia into the bottom corner.ends
