Stefan Scepovic at the double as Getafe brush aside Las Palmas

Getafe comfortably beat Las Palmas 4-0 to record a third straight home win and move up to 11th place in the Primera Division.Victor Rodriguez took advantage of the visitors' risky defending to open the scoring after just three minutes and then Pablo Sarabia headed in from close range in the 11th minute to double the advantage. The Madrid side never looked in danger of losing their lead and their task was made easier when Emmanuel Culio was given a straight red card late in the second half, and then Celtic loanee Stefan Scepovic rounded off the win by scoring twice in the closing minutes.Las Palmas stay in the relegation zone after this defeat, with coach Paco Herrera's tactical changes proving disastrous for his side.Herrera had employed three centre-halves for the first few games of the season but switched to a back four for the trip to Getafe and his centre-back pairing of Pedro Bigas and Aythami Artiles were cut to ribbons in just the third minute. Alvaro Vazquez won back possession and raced down the right unchallenged, allowing him to roll the ball across the box for Rodriguez to nudge home from a couple of yards out.The defence was exposed again not long after, when Sarabia trotted into the box to head home a cross from Pedro Leon.Referee David Fernandez Borbalan's decision to give Culio a straight red card was somewhat harsh but summed up Las Palmas' hapless day, and they were then hit by two further blows by substitute Scepovic.
