Chievo Verona and Genoa play to goalless stalemate
Chievo and Genoa played out a goalless draw in Serie A on Monday night.
Chievo should have gone in front in the first half, with Riccardo Meggiorini unlucky to see his shot from outside the area rattle the bar and Valter Birsa anything but after missing a penalty.
Meggiorini drew a foul from Ezequiel Munoz to win the spot-kick in the 36th minute, but Birsa sent his effort over the bar.
Nikola Ninkovic almost won it for Genoa in the 71st minute, but his attempt cannoned off a post.
