Danny Lloyd at the double as Peterborough brush past 10-man Bury

Danny Lloyd struck twice as Peterborough defeated 10-man Bury in a 3-0 victory to earn back-to-back Sky Bet League One wins for the first time since August. It was far from a stroll for Grant McCann's men as the visitors were often the most threatening side until defender Eoghan O'Connell was dismissed just before the hour-mark.Lloyd headed an early opener when he was picked out by Marcus Maddison's third-minute corner, but only the brilliance of goalkeeper Jonathan Bond preserved the lead as he pulled off a string of smart saves to deny Chris Maguire and Rohan Ince from long range.Posh's task was made easier when O'Connell was sent off after picking up two cautions in as many minutes - the first for handling the ball and a late aerial challenge on Maddison saw him dismissed in the 56th minute.Posh made the most of their numerical advantage when top-scorer Jack Marriott headed home his 19th goal of the season following an exquisite Maddison cross in the 64th minute. The result was put beyond doubt when Lloyd - their late match-winner at Fleetwood last week - thumped in his third goal in two games with a 25-yard rocket seven minutes later.
