Lyon went top of the Ligue 1 standings with a no-nonsense 3-0 home win over 10-man Strasbourg on Saturday.

Karl Toko Ekambi and Memphis Depay with a double secured the victory after Strasbourg's Adrien Thomasson was sent off early on to leave Lyon on 52 points from 24 games.

Lyon lead Lille, who travel to Nantes on Sunday, by one point and third-placed Paris Saint-Germain by four before the champions visit Marseille, also on Sunday.

Strasbourg are in 15th place on 25 points.

The visitors had midfielder Thomasson sent off after picking up two yellow cards in the 15th minute -- the first for a foul on Thiago Mendes and the second for protesting against referee Amaury Delerue's decision.

Netherlands forward Depay broke the deadlock five minutes later from close range after being set up by Houssem Aouar.

Toko Ekambi made it 2-0 on the half-hour when he chipped the ball home after being set up by Mendes.

Depay got his second after 68 minutes with a superb free kick into the top corner as Rudi Garcia's team secured their fourth league win in a row.
