Australia's Jackson Irvine moves to Hull City from Burton Albion

Australia international Jackson Irvine has joined Hull City from Burton Albion for an undisclosed fee.

Irvine, Burton's Player of the Season last year, has signed a three-year contract at Hull with the option of an extra year.

The midfielder, who moved to Championship club Burton from Scottish side Ross County, told Hull's official website: "I couldn't be happier and I'm excited to be starting the next chapter of my career.

"It has all happened relatively quickly, but once I found out about the interest from Hull City it was an easy decision, even though leaving Burton was difficult in its own way. I can't wait to get started."

Irvine is currently on international duty, preparing for Australia's World Cup qualifiers against Japan and Thailand.
