QPR have signed goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from Reading for an undisclosed fee.
McCarthy, 24, has signed a four-year deal at Loftus Road and will wear the No. 12 shirt, battling with Rob Green to become first-choice at the club after the exit of Brazil international Julio Cesar this summer.
The ex-England under-21 international won three caps with the national side and was rumoured to be attracting the interest of Arsenal this summer, before they moved for Colombia's David Ospina.
