Greek third-tier club Irodotos have been punished by the Hellenic Football Federation after a fan died following an attack by home supporters at a match in September.
The governing body announced on Wednesday sanctions against the club, which include a 15-point deduction, 10 home matches having to be played without supporters in attendance and a ban on acquiring new players for the rest of the current season.
Irodotos were hit with the punishment following the death of 46-year-old fan Costas Katsoulis during a game at home to Ethnikos on the island of Crete on Sept. 14.
Katsoulis suffered severe head injuries and died in a hospital in Athens two weeks after the match.
