Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said Daniel Sturridge's latest injury is "not a serious thing."
Sturridge was absent for the goalless draw at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday as Klopp had to contend with an attacking injury crisis that also saw Christian Benteke and Danny Ings ruled out.
Sturridge has only recently returned from hip surgery but, despite his fitness problems over recent times, Klopp said he is hopeful the striker will be fit in time for Thursday's Europa League clash with Rubin Kazan.
"We had a bad week with injuries," said Klopp, who has seen both Ings and Joe Gomez suffer anterior cruciate ligament injuries since his arrival.
"The best news is it's not a serious thing with Daniel but, in a week like this with two ACL, we could not risk it.
"Daniel had a one-on-one situation with Jordon Ibe in training. I didn't see it but after he said he had a little pain in a muscle.
"We made a diagnosis and screened him to be sure -- we can see a little bit of swelling but nothing really serious. So we have to see. I hope he's ready to play on Thursday."
Klopp said Benteke, who has been out since Sept. 20 with a hamstring strain, will be back in time for the home game against Southampton next Sunday.
"Ings of course needs time," he said. "Benteke doesn't need the same time and will be back next week, for Kazan or Southampton.
"The best situation is when all the players are 100 percent but it doesn't happen so often."
Klopp, who had youngster Jerome Sinclair on the bench, fielded Divock Origi in attack at Tottenham.
Origi hit the crossbar early on at White Hart Lane and Klopp said he was a fan of the Belgian, having attempted to buy him from Lille while at Borussia Dortmund.
"I wanted to take him to Dortmund but Liverpool bought him," he said. "He is a very good player.
"He is young, very fast, a good technician. At this moment, he's not full of experience in the game because he hasn't played so often, but we will have fun with this player, for sure."
He added: "When I came here and thought about Liverpool, I thought, 'Four strikers of this quality -- cool.' Now I have one.
"That's not the best situation at this moment, but I like Divock. And young Sinclair was on the bench and was close to coming in."
