Fans usually can't wait to start voting for their club's "Goal of the month" contest but for Southampton supporters, October's award was declared a walkover.
In what was a dull EFL Cup affair between the Saints and David Moyes' struggling Sunderland outfit, Moroccan international Sofiane Boufal stepped up with a 66th minute winner.
The former Lille man cut in from the left before unleashing a blinder beyond Jordan Pickford's reach to give Southampton a 1-0 victory.
Fans must have replayed that "Goal of the month" video countless times, as Southampton seemingly decided to nominate Boufal's wonder strike as the one and only contender.
So congratulations Boufal, and here's to more great goals for Southampton fans to celebrate in November!
