AC Milan's honorary president Silvio Berlusconi has been taken to hospital with a heart problem.
The former Italian Prime Minister was admitted to hospital on Tuesday, but a spokesman has said that his condition is not life-threatening.
Berlusconi, 79, had a pacemaker implanted nine years ago and is set to remain in hospital for a few days as he undergoes tests.
"This had been scheduled a few days ago, because there was a small irregular heartbeat during a previous check," Deborah Bergamini, a spokesman for Berlusconi, said.
"He wasn't taken ill and he is fine, calm. This irregularity will be monitored, and he will leave hospital in a few days' time."
Still a majority shareholder of Milan, Berlusconi has taken an increasingly backward step in the running of the club and has been involved in talks with Chinese investors about selling his stake.
