Columbus Crew SC winger Cedrick Mabwati contracted Malaria while on international duty.
The DR Congo international has returned to the club but he is questionable for Saturday's game against the New York Red Bulls, a team spokesperson told MLSsoccer.com.
Mabwati thanked fans for their support on Twitter.

Columbus coach Gregg Berhalter told reporters said the illness was only the latest in a series of unusual setbacks for his team.
"Some of these injuries we've had, it's been mind-boggling," he said. "We've had mono, malaria, [Gaston Sauro's] PCL. I mean, when's the last time you heard of a PCL tear? I've never heard of it."
