Barcelona's and Jasper Cillessen out three weeks, Sergi Roberto a doubt for Depor

Barcelona have confirmed that Jasper Cillessen will be sidelined for three weeks, while Sergi Roberto remains a major doubt for Saturday's game against Deportivo La Coruna after returning from international duty with an injury.

Cillessen hurt his ankle while training with Netherlands on Saturday and Barca confirmed on Monday that sprained ligaments will keep him out until November.

He will be unavailable for the La Liga games against Depor, Valencia and Granada, while he will also miss next week's Champions League clash with Manchester City at Camp Nou.

The return game against City in Manchester at the beginning of November could see him return to fitness, although it's unlikely he will start given Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been Luis Enrique's first choice goalkeeper this season.

Since signing from Ajax in the summer Cillessen has made only one appearance -- the league defeat to Alaves -- and has been on the bench as backup to Ter Stegen.

Right-back Roberto missed Spain's 2-0 win in Albania on Sunday after experiencing pain in his abductor in training before the game.

Despite Spain coach Julen Lopetegui confirming that he was a doubt for the World Cup qualifier, Roberto travelled to Shkoder before the decision was taken not to risk him.

Barca have confirmed the problem but have not revealed how long he will be out of action, although Diario Sport reports that Enrique will not play him when Depor on Saturday with City to come four days later.

The injuries to Roberto and Cillessen come after Barcelona confirmed that Jordi Alba will be sidelined for approximately 10 days.

The left-back was taken off with a hamstring strain during Spain's draw with Italy last Thursday but should recover in time for the game against City.

Meanwhile, Neymar will make an early return to Barcelona after picking up a yellow card in Brazil's win over Bolivia last week.

The booking means he will be suspended for the World Cup qualifier against Venezuela this week and will instead return to his club on Tuesday.

Barca will also monitor the fitness of Samuel Umtiti, Ivan Rakitic and Lionel Messi this week, with the three having not joined up with their national teams due to injury.
