ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves have announced Comcast will provide voice, video and high-speed Internet at the team's new SunTrust Park and a 60-acre area around the facility.
The Braves plan to move into their new facility, now under construction in Cobb County, for the 2017 season.
Comcast's all-fiber network will extend through the new park as well as shops, restaurants, an office tower, hotel, an entertainment venue and residential units.
Comcast also will be an anchor tenant in a multistory office building beside the stadium. The building will become Comcast's southeast regional headquarters.
Gov. Nathan Deal attended Tuesday's announcement with Comcast CEO Brian Roberts and Braves chairman and CEO Terry McGuirk.
McGuirk said "redefining fan connectivity" is the key to the new park's claim as the most technologically advanced ballpark in history.
