EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Brooklyn Nets rookie Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is expected to miss eight to 10 weeks after undergoing surgery on his right ankle Wednesday, the team announced.
"Rondae had surgery this morning to repair a fracture of the posterior talus in his right ankle," Nets doctor Martin O'Malley said in a statement. "Two screws were inserted to repair the fracture. There was no other structural damage, and he is expected to make a complete recovery, with a timetable of his return to the court estimated at eight to 10 weeks."
Hollis-Jefferson, 20, is averaging 5.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game while making 14 starts for the Nets (6-15).
Bojan Bogdanovic will be starting in Hollis-Jefferson's absence.
