CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah will be out for at least two weeks and will be re-evaluated at that point after an MRI confirmed a sprained left shoulder.
"Jo had an MRI this morning, and it's a sprained shoulder," Chicago coach Fred Hoiberg said. "It will be re-evaluated in two weeks. He's obviously very sore today. The shoulder popped out of joint for a brief second, so he's going to be sore and stiff. So it's rehabbing for the next couple weeks, and then re-evaluated from there.
The injury occurred when Noah got tangled up with Brooklyn Nets big man Andrea Bargnani late in the third quarter of Monday's loss. Hoiberg was unclear exactly how much time Noah would have to miss.
"The initial recovery is two weeks of rehab and then he'll be re-evaluated," Hoiberg said. "And we'll kind of go from there ... maybe two [weeks], maybe four [weeks]. I just don't know yet."
A ninth-year veteran, Noah is averaging career lows this season in points per game with 4.5 and field goal percentage at .407.
