Looking to sign off with a third gold
With 2 Olympic gold medals (2004, 2012), and 4 consecutive world championship titles (2009, 2011, 2013, 2015), Ezekiel Kemboi is one of the all-time greats in the 3000m steeplechase.
Such is the Kenyan's dominance, that he is unbeaten at a major championships since 2009.
Born in Matira, in the Rift Valley Province, Kemboi boasts the 7th fastest time in history (7:55.76 in 2011). He is coached by another legend of the discipline, his compatriot Moses Kiptanui.
At 34, Kemboi will travel to Rio looking to become the first man to win 3 gold medals in the steeplechase. He will then act as a member of the IAAF Athletes' Commission, after being elected in November 2015.
