Jonathan Papelbon was released by the Nationals on Saturday after losing the closer's role to Mark Melancon. With the Red Sox looking to add to their bullpen as they gear up for a postseason run, Papelbon could return to Boston where he was a four-time All-Star and helped the Red Sox win the 2007 World Series.
