The Minnesota Timberwolves have brought in six new players this offseason and still have three open roster spots to fill to reach the 15-man limit signed to NBA contracts.

Early in the offseason, backup center Cole Aldrich was mentioned in the rumor mill several times, and he says the speculation that he could be moved doesn't bother him.

"It is what it is. If it happened, it happened. If it didn’t, it didn't," Aldrich told the Pioneer Press. "I'm going to be excited either way. I'm excited about my time. If I stay all year, I'm happy to be here. This is home for me and it always will be home, whether I’m with the Wolves or another team. I’ve loved my time being here, but it’s a business, it is what it is. I’ve been traded before and, as we spoke earlier in the year, you just never know if it’s going to happen again."

In 2016-17, Aldrich played in 62 games and averaged 1.7 points and 2.5 rebounds. Aldrich is signed through 2018-19 and is guaranteed $9,356,021 over the next two years.

When training camp opens in late September, Aldrich will be listed third on the center depth chart behind Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng.
