The Miami Heat reached the max offseason 20-man roster limit Tuesday when they signed guard DeAndre Liggins. The time Liggins spends with the Heat is expected to end no later than Oct. 16, when all NBA teams must submit their 15-man roster to the league office.

Rumor Central

The Heat's 15-man regular-season roster has been pretty much set since the start of training camp and the five players who don't make the team, including Liggins, will end up with Miami's G League team, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Liggins helped the Skyforce win the league title in 2016.

"Another player we feel very familiar with, has a lot of the qualities we tend to like and it's good to bring him back," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told The Palm Beach Post. "We're glad to have him back in the Heat family."

In addition to Liggins, Larry Drew II, Erik McCree, Derrick Walton Jr. (signed to a two-way contract) and Matt Williams will head to Sioux Falls soon after Friday's final preseason game.
