Rumor Central: Ben McLemore ready to play?

Ben McLemore has missed the start of the 2017-18 NBA season while recovering from surgery on Aug. 8 to repair the non-displaced fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. McLemore will go through a full practice the next two days, and if he doesn't have a setback, the newcomer to the Memphis Grizzlies will make his debut for the team on Saturday at the Houston Rockets.

Does Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale have an idea how he's going to use McLemore? Not really.

"He's coming off a broken foot," Fizdale told The Commercial Appeal. "We'll get his feet wet. We'll see what works and take it day by day."

McLemore moved from the Sacramento Kings to the Grizzlies in July when he signed a two-year, $10.66 million contract with Memphis.

Until McLemore gets on the floor and plays well, Fizdale could continue to stick with Dillon Brooks as the starting shooting guard.
