The Orlando Magic have been without point guard D.J. Augustin for the past seven games because of his strained left hamstring. Augustin has been working with the training staff and might be cleared to return this weekend when Orlando plays the Utah Jazz.

"I'm leaving it up to the training staff on when I could return, but it's looking like pretty soon," Augustin told the Orlando Sentinel. "So I hope either Saturday or Monday, at least one of those games, because I've been ready to play. I'm just tired of sitting out."

Augustin, 30, should assume the role as the main backup point guard when he returns. Prior to the issue with his hamstring, Augustin was starting at point guard while Elfrid Payton dealt with his own strained hamstring, and the Magic had a 5-1 record.

In eight appearances this season, Augustin is averaging 8.3 points, 5.1 assists and 2.0 rebounds.
