Brewster guard picks hometown school

Point guard Martez Harrison (Kansas City, Mo./Brewster Academy) has decided to play his college basketball in his hometown and committed to the University of Missouri-Kansas City, according to the Kansas City Star.

Harrison, who spent this past season at prep powerhouse Brewster Academy in Wolfboro, N.H., chose UMKC over St. Bonaventure and Southern Illinois among "about 15-20 offers," his coach at Brewster, Jason Smith, told the paper.

The 5-foot-10 point guard played at University Academy in Kansas City as a senior in 2011-12.
