Clemson head coach Brad Brownell announced the signing of 6-foot-10 center Sidy Djitte (Senegal/Northwood Temple Academy) on Wednesday.
Djitte averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks last season at Northwood Temple Academy in Fayetteville, N.C.
"Sidy is a big, strong post player who will certainly add a great deal of athleticism to our frontcourt," Brownell said. "He's only played the game about three years, but we believe he has the potential to be a very good player at Clemson. His high school coaches have done a good job helping him acclimate to school and basketball in the United States."
Djitte joins SG Austin Ajukwa (Columbia, S.C./Cardinal Newma), SG Patrick Rooks (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Christian) and C Ibrahim Djambo (Poplar Bluffs, Mo./Three Rivers C.C.) in the Tigers' incoming class.
